Two sister missionaries now serving in Heath Ward

The Heath Ward now has it’s own set of missionaries!

Sisters Blinkfeldt and Lucas were transferred here about Nov. 1. They are temporarily living with the Barry and Candi Brundage family until they can make living arrangements in their own apartment.

Sister Blinkfeldt is the senior companion, having served in the Dallas Mission for several months.

Sister Lucas is a brand new missionary from Idaho.

Heath Ward High Priests group leadership changed

The Heath Ward’s High Priest Group leadership was changed Nov. 1.

Mike Pace, who recently moved here with his family from Layton UT, was set apart as the new High Priest group leader by Richardson Stake Presidency First Counselor Ralph Peterson.

He replaces John Koerner, who is moving soon with his family to Utah.

Set apart by Pres. Peterson as Mike’s first counselor was former Stake High Council member and Rockwall Ward bishopric counselor James Harvey.

Bret Downing was set apart as his second counselor by Pres. Peterson, after he was first ordained a High Priest by Bishop Ed Thatcher.

Richardson Stake High Priests Quorum meeting Dec. 13

Our annual Richardson Stake High Priests Quorum meeting will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, 7 am, at the Stake Center, 900 S. Bowser Rd. Richardson TX 75081.

Forney, Kaufman Wards move out of Heath building

The Forney and Kaufman Wards’ building in Forney is now complete. Both wards moved out of the Heath Ward building and into their own last week.

The Heath ward will continue to meet from 9 am-Noon and the Rockwall Ward will now meet from 11-2 pm and continue the same schedule through 2010.

Richardson Stake Christmas Concert coming Dec. 5

Heath Ward Christmas Party scheduled Dec. 19th

Bishop Ed Thatcher recovering nicely after being thrown by horse

Our good Bishop, Ed Thatcher, says he is recovering nicely after being thrown from a horse about a month ago.

The accident broke several bones, including his clavicle and two ribs.

Ward Halloween party a great success!

The first Heath ward Halloween party, Oct. 31, attracted over 100 members and was a great success! The event included a ward chili dinner and “trunk or treat” afterward for the kids.

That’s Kris and Lydianne McDonald’s son Harrison a bove, enjoying candy from the “trunk or treat”.

Most children and many adults wore Halloween costumes.
